Low Sexual Desire

The lack of sexual desire is more frequent in women than in men, essentially due to the hormonal changes that are their own, although this type of sexual dysfunction can only be spoken of when the loss of sexual desire lasts more than six months. However, this also occurs in men, in whom 70% of cases of low sex desire have their origin in a testosterone deficiency. It is not an ordinary diseases, if not treated on time, it can create immense health issues as well.

In the remaining 30%, you have to look for the cause in problems of another nature, generally related to your relationship and stress:

Stress: Although sex does release endorphins and this helps relieve stress, the truth is that it is not uncommon for many men to come home tired from work and do not even consider having sex: they want to relax and rest. Workaholics, on the other hand, in addition to coming home late, often continue to work to finish the day's pending issues. In any case, the truth is that work-related stress significantly reduces the frequency of sexual intercourse and loses desire.

Routine relationships: Routine sexual intercourse is another reason that leads men to lose sexual desire. There are no surprises, new things are not tried, innovation is not encouraged as a means of excitement, and taboos and limitations are maintained.

Relationship problems: It is essentially a lack of communication, which ends up causing estrangement, arguments, and conflicts and, with it, leaving sexual relations aside, without reconciliation, generally a means of inciting sexual desire, being an option.

Types of Low Sexual Desire

First of all, it is important to mention something that not many people know, and that is that low sexual desire can occur in several well-differentiated ways:

  • Lack of primary desire: it occurs when you cannot have sexual fantasies or few behaviors with sexual purposes.
  • Lack of secondary desire: sudden low sexual desire, with low or no frequency of erections.
  • Generalized lack of desire: this would be the case of asexual people who do not feel sexual desire for anyone.
  • Lack of situational desire: in this case, the person typically feels sexual desire, but it happens that in a specific situation or with a specific person (his partner, for example), he is not capable of feeling that desire. This form is prevalent and usually occurs in isolation.

Most common causes of low sexual drive

There are many causes of low sex drive. Some of the causes are environmental and are caused by underlying medical problems.Lack of sexual attraction can lead to a low sex drive with a particular partner. In addition, high levels of stress, inadequate rest, poor sleep, and fatigue can lead to many health problems, including loss of sexual interest, low sex drive, and difficulty getting erections.

The origin of sexual problems:

Sexual dysfunction or problem refers to difficulty in having intercourse. It can be the consequence of certain decision factors. Most sexual problems are due to a combination of the situation and solution as to how you dealt with it.

Sometimes, some men pressure themselves or feel pressured by their partner to perform sexually adequately and become distressed when they can't (sexual performance anxiety). Sexual performance anxiety can cause problems and make a man's ability to enjoy sex much worse. The problem doesn't stop at sexual anxiety.

Sexual dysfunction is a disorder that makes it difficult or impossible to maintain satisfactory sexual relations. This occurs during any stage of the sexual act (desire, arousal, orgasm, and resolution). Many people are not aware of this, but the origin of sexual problems always lies somewhere in the decisions they've made earlier in their lives.

For example, a person failed to satisfy their partner and felt guilty. Later, he saw an advertisement that promised that taking a pill will make him lasts for hours and help them have a profound sexual act. The person took the medication without consulting with the doctor or any specialists. It ended up having severe sexual issues such as Premature Ejaculation, Erectile Dysfunction, or Nightfall.

What decisions can cause sexual dysfunction or problems?

  • Getting influenced by random ads that promise healthier sexual life.
  • Not having enough information before trying penis enlargement courses.
  • Trying home remedies for sexual dysfunction or problems.

What sexual problems can a person face after taking pills or services without consulting the specialists?

  • Premature ejaculation
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Sexually transmitted diseases
  • Inhibited sexual desire
  • Sexual dissatisfaction
  • Hypoactive sexual desire disorder

Can it be prevented?

There are no concrete ways to prevent sexual dysfunction. Once the person has taken actions based on some random decisions, it is almost impossible to avoid the tragedy that he can face. The best prevention is the consultation with the sexologists that a person must take before trying on things he got influenced by.

Treatment of Low Sexual Desire

Cases of low sex desire can be harmful for the overall health. Physiological causes are also treatable but when the person is having a sexual issue, it forbids them to make the right decision. For example, low testosterone levels and abnormal thyroid function are easily treatable but because of miss-information and lack of guidance, people usually end up causing the issue at the deepest level.

The social and environmental causes of low sexual desire can often be addressed by the patient when recognized or with the help of a sexologist.
